Come November and the air in Chandigarh will turn festive as the city will organize it’s first ever carnival. Besides the very desi Punjabi music and dance, the event will also have glimpses of Canadian culture
Canada has been chosen to be a partner country in the two-day Chandigarh Carnival to be held here Nov 24 and 25.
The carnival parade with its tableaux and decorated cars will this year, for the first time, be going through various residential areas of the city.
Canada, which has a huge immigrant population from Punjab, will present a musical programme by the Shuffle Demons, at the Leisure Valley Nov 24.
